As part of our kids’ programming at Canzine Toronto, we will be running an all-day, all-ages zinemaking workshop (led with Broken Pencil’s Annie Wong) in the AGO’s Community Gallery where kids and adults alike will contribute to a giant zine, make their own zines and learn some special skills from other kids. One of the kid workshop leaders is 9-year-old Sidney Amelia Bustos Munroe, who will be leading a workshop titled “How to Draw Cute Things” starting at 2pm. As evidenced by her poster for the workshop above, Sid is obviously really good at drawing cute things. Don’t miss it!
BIO: Sidney Amelia Bustos Munroe made her first zines last year – illustrated stories based on scary dreams she had, including The Ghost who Sang a Song. Both her parents have made zines in the past, making her a second generation zinester. She likes dogs, candy, Shopkins, noodles, and standing on her head on the couch.
