zine review:
Lyrics to the Empty Show
This zine is disturbing. I’m all for abstract art, but the art within this zine pushes even my jaded and angry limits. A combination of graphic artwork of skulls, skeletons, nudity, and grotesque violence, as well as various poems telling dark and passionate stories of a fantastic and deadly nature, I had a hard time getting through it. Granted, the artwork is beautiful, and the poetry is lyrical and astounding, but that doesn’t stop the degree of “disturbing” from getting under my skin. Still, worth a read if you don’t mind venturing into a dark world for a while. (Tara Blackmore)
