The editorial starts with rivet-head Stacey Case brimming with excitement about a new printing press. I have to admit, being a self-publisher myself, I was a little jealous of him. I wish I had a nice old AB Dick press! As always Stacey does a great job of putting together a nice mix of comics, movie/zine/record reviews and very absorbing and honest real-life stories. I loved hearing about Feelin’ Shitty Barbie’s cootie-infested trip to New York, as well as the brutally honest (and inspiring) prison tale called “Battered but Unbowed.” I highly recommend this as one of Canada’s best exercises in cut-and-paste. If you, personally, don’t like it, well then make your own damn zine. It’s not hard – see? (LR)
