Sassy and well-drawn, Patti can actually tell a true story in her strips. Her drawing style continues to evolve into vibrant, detailed plot-mobiles that move things along simply by changing the atmosphere of the next series of panels. In this issue, Patti focuses on her relationship with Joe Matt (of Peep Show fame) and all his disgusting habits. The thought of the two of them rushing to their drawing desks to chronicle their last fight is both disconcerting and strangely appealing. (HC)
