Gender Equality. Feminism. Gender Issues. PMAR is an ambitious, contributor based (and huge) ‘zine which attempts to deal with these topics. Both men and women contributed to this project, and in a variety of formats ranging from poetry to photographs from essays to personal stories. Along with the contributions are various newspaper articles regarding gender as well as definitions for the various women’s movements (eco-feminism, anarcho-feminism) and, surprisingly, some “men’s movements”. Helen did not edit any of the contributions to suit her personal views and that, ultimately, is what makes PMAR an interesting and satisfying read. By seeing the broad area that these issues touch upon, how they are perceived and how they affect both men and women, Helen’s goal of discourse, criticism and education is not an unreasonable one.
