The Done Fors – How To Have Sex With Canadians
I wouldn’t advise you start a long road trip with this one. The siren voice of Janine Stoll, vocalist for Toronto’s The Done Fors, is whispy and mellow, a bit depressing, a bit sexy, but definitely not forgettable. It’s a moody work, rife with patience and pathos. I’m not certain as to how the album’s title fits into the theme or sound here; it has a snoozy, cold Sunday morning sleeping kind of vibe, but the voice is soothing. And “In My Blood” has one of the funniest lyrics I’ve heard in recent memory: (“I’ve been saving a lapdance for the judge”). (Jack Cena)
