What’s this…the thinking man’s porn mag? Poetry about porn stars? Weird actually well-written (ie. not Forum) stories like the one about the guy who lost his virginity to a prostitute in Paris but couldn’t figure out if it was with a man or woman? Smut is an odd combination of porn pics, porn movie reviews, stories, articles, comics and jokes. While some may find it offensive, it is actually pretty innocuous. I mean, for those people who are not immediately offended by the idea of soft-core porn, it is harmless. But even if you are offended Smut is still a lot more entertaining then most mass-market men’s magazines and it has better ads then most weekly alternative newspapers. Just check out the Patricia Marsh House of Domination & Fantasy on page 23 and you’ll know what I’m saying. Uncle Moishe’s T&A Film Reviews (3 bagels — I joiked off afterwards, 4 bagels with cream cheese — Oops…I schplotzed inside my underpants), Fake Letters, and Ode To Ron Jeremy are all pretty stupid, but somehow dragged a chuckle out of me. The sick part of me actually wants to read Smut before I wrap my fish in it.
