The cover is of a lone wolf silhouette. The Geez is howling mode. This is an interesting issue, with everything in transition — lost job etc. — the Geez has abandoned all the text he stored up on the factory computer and gives us a more concise, even grimmer assertion of life at all costs in the face of the mega-industrial breakdown. Sam’s poems are generally shorter than his factory rambles, and as a result have a more whimsical I-am-the-lone-wolf of the rhyme thing going. As always, the Geez is immanently quotable: “What will we do when the money runs out?/When the shrinks and the wardens say there is nothing more to be done?/When the bank calls your pastor and tells him to get his gun?”
