This is British Columbia’s only bilingual Russian/English magazine. The way this works is half the magazine is Russian, and then you flip it over and the other half is English. Since I don’t read Russian, I’m assuming that both sides of the magazine are the same, although I could be horribly wrong about that so if anyone who reads Russian wants to help us out, please feel free to get in touch. At any rate, in a sparing, tenous English that somehow adds authenticity to this completely authentic publication, everything that concerns Russians living in Vancouver is systematically documented. I like the friendly first person style, and the fact that though this is aimed at Russian expatriates, it does not shy away from criticizing the motherland (see A letter of a Refugee from Checnia).
