Canada’s independent labour magazine covers a variety of issues from coast to coast with a unionist perspective. Having said that media speak bit of junk, this magazine culls its wide ranging articles from freelancers and members of the collective offering viewpoints that inform, enlighten and depress all at the same time. The truth that workers in Canada still have lots to fight for is all too apparent from reading about the continuing plight of B.C. farmworkers and the sort of racial and sexual discrimination that even the Human Rights Commission doesn’t deal with very well. The articles are insightful, honest and researched carefully. The article, which spelled out facts to keep in mind while the corporate class cries debt crisis, washed the dirt off various myths to carefully counter the standard rhetoric.
