Canzine Portraits: Katharine Miller

Canzine-goers (only five days away!) will have the pleasure of meeting Katharine Miller, a Toronto-based writer, designer and veteran of the indie scene. She penned the graphic novel series, Robot of Leisure, and will be bringing her latest work, the complete volumes of 30 Failures by Age 30, to this year’s festival. The book is a collection of essays about personal and social failures that fill an entire spectrum of emotions, ranging from hilarious to heartbreaking. Katharine is encouraging visitors to submit their own embarrassing moments of utter fair, which may potentially land themselves on her 30 Failures blog.

We asked her what she’s attending at this year’s Canzine:

“I’m looking forward to seeing what happens in the Great Hollywood Rip-Off Piracy Zine Challenge. Will someone dare to tackle Tron? Inception? Plan 9 From Outer Space? It’ll be great fun to see the familiar faces and top-notch talent in our indie publishing scene.”
