Lido Pimienta has been performing and exhibiting across the world in an impressive range of mediums for over a decade. In her own words, Lido “explores the politics of gender, race, motherhood, identity and the construct of the Canadian landscape in the Latin American diaspora and vernacular.” Whether painting, curating or composing, Lido has been an outspoken force in various art circles. Co-creator of social and musical projects The Tiny Box Collective and GlitClit (now HIGHWORLD), Lido is also creator/curator of Bridges festival and Girl Talkz, a show featuring female performing artists.
Come and visit Lido at this year’s Canzine, where she will be tabling her zine Habitual Symptoms, a vibrant excavation of gender and race privilege.
