informal and fun gatherings where creative people get together and share their ideas, works, thoughts, holiday snaps — just about anything in the PechaKucha 20×20 format. PechaKucha 20×20 is a simple presentation format where you show 20 images, each for 20 seconds. The images advance automatically and you talk along to the images. Free City Radio is a monthly radio program on CKUT 90.3fm in Montreal, exploring ideas at the intersection of social activism and the arts, hosted by Stefan Christoff. This edition of Free City Radio is a collaboration between Dru Oja Jay and Stefan Christoff.  Free City Radio zine is co-presented by CKUT Radio’s community news collective.

A workshop series running each Thursday in April, presented by the campus n’ community radio station CKDU. This Thursday’s installment will teach you modern turntablism with DJ RS$mooth.

MONTREAL

Strip Spelling Bee, 9pm, MainLine Theatre, 3997 Boul. Saint-Laurent, $10

The game is played a lot like strip poker, but it’s a spelling bee, and it’s played in front of a live audience of hooters, hollerers and hecklers who want to see some smart and sexy skin!
As this is our Dark Knight edition, any contestant wearing a related costume, whether half-assed or high-end, will be looked upon more favourably by the judges.

Original fan-generated material from authors all over the world, performed live by Toronto’s funniest comedians. This month ‘Fan Fiction The Show battles Cylons with the future hanging in the balance.
