Centennial College’s Children’s Entertainment program is screening two of the best/worst monster movies of all time, Sharktopus (Room 205 at 3:30pm) and the inimitable Troll 2 (Room 292, 5pm) in support of the charity Child’s Play. There will also be a raffle and some other spooky/rad activities.
Tuesday October 30, 8pm, Zombie Prom, The Drake Hotel, 1150 Queen St. West, $10
Local indie musicians Emma-Lee and Luke Nicholson will be playing this dance of the dead, which also features dancing, a photo booth, costume prizes for king and queen of the prom, and much more.

It’s the costume opening party for Thanatos, an exhibition featuring the work of 29 visual artists. The exhibit runs until November 30 and featureshHallucinogenic paintings, pop-art silkscreens, disquieting kinetic sculptures, erotic etchings, original drawings, trash plush toys, surrealist jewelry and other “fascinating curiosities.”

The Modern Fuel Artist-Run Centre teams up with Kingston’s amazing noise and sound festival Tone Deaf in presenting a pop-up installation by Toronto artist Mike Hansen, featuring an ongoing exhibition and launch at Modern Fuel, plus performances at the Artel and Chalmers Church as part of Tone Deaf itself.
