Alternatives Journal

Far from a dry academic journal of techno-talk or high-sci, Alternatives, as its name implies, offers interesting and possible solutions to a variety of environmental challenges. This issue in particular focuses on things that make good economic and environmental sense including two fascinating articles which discuss taxation as a way for business to starting paying for the real cost of what it produces. The article about the Hopi Solar Project also raises interesting points about how the culture of capitalism stalls and often halts viable environmental initiatives. Updates and reviews further make this the sort of thing to slide under the door of people who need “legitimate” sources before they’ll even think of the environment.
