My wife took great pleasure in pointing out whenever Andre Ethier sounded like Nick Cave on this his second solo album away (now permanently) from his rock band the Deadly Snakes. My response was, “What the hell is wrong with that? Nick Cave is great.” But my wife and I differ on this last point so it’s not a very effective argument. That said, she liked the stuff that reminded her of Bob Dylan and I, as usual, liked most of it except the parts where Andre bellows too much. Nobody likes being shouted at. (Terence Dick)
