Larry Gambone has an ear for well thought-out debates and keeps his engine primed reporting them. Nothing escapes the anti-authoritarian eyes of the editor, from calling people on their inappropriate use of certain words to delineating a semi-official definition of what “Anarchy” is all about. Vol. 3., No. 1 is an attempt to renovate and “save anarchism from the leftists”. In ATN’s world, anarchism is being polluted by all kinds of practitioners and intellects who just don’t get it. Despite the ATN agenda of anarchical purity, this newsletter is very insightful. The editor laments the lack of attention being paid to the wide discontent with corporate power in Canada and suggests ways to tap into that glorious dissent. Vol. 3, No. 2 is mainly responses to Gambone’s article, “What is Anarchism?” and other rebuttals and lobs thrown in for good measure. While I find reading ATN interesting and informative, it can be off-putting, which is ironic with all its talk of bringing in people and creating a mass movement. (RT)
