Jen is angry, depressed and in high school. Makes sense so far. She isn’t too fond of the zine (she erupts in self-loathing every few pages, in between loathing everyone else) but in fact it’s refreshing. An “Ode to Death” pictures the Evil One as a sexy boy at the food court, or perhaps vice-versa, the “Anatomical Filler Page” is dedicated to jocks, who suck, Billy Joe from Green Day is the devil, preppies still suck, Jen is the unwilling recipient of Pepsi’s sucky POP LIFE magazine (Shaq appears in every issue), and Kurt Cobain’s dead, which sucks. Good, honest anger, which should get the hell out of Aurora before it goes all mooshy. I do wish Jen would stop slagging “wussy 12 year olds” though. Why does every high school class believe that the next youngest one is the cause of all the world’s problems, eg. Green Day? Jen, you were twelve once. Take a deep breath, then reload. Shoot Time-Warner.
