This angry but not insensible gay activist zine is making its argument with style and finesse. The upgrade to chapbook has done wonders for the look and the feel of the zine. The photographs look great, and the essays and interviews are well researched; their frank and articulate sensibility gives them a credibility that is difficult to achieve even in staid academic settings. In particular, the interview with Shannon Bell on the London “Kiddie-Porn Ring” was as far- reaching as it was intelligent. This mix of personal poetry and fiction, analytical essays and interviews, photography and illustration is to be commended. Articulate activism that is about how people live, not how other people should live.
