A rarity in the zine world, Building Adam is a credible Christian music zine that courts a young and like-minded constituency, raises contentious issues and merits attention from believers and non-believers alike. This issue is a nice improvement on back-issues in both form and content. It gets full marks for honesty, balance and having a sense of humour. It boasts probing interviews with No Innocent Victim and Starflyer 59, and a nice assortment of columns that manage to maintain faith whilst questioning bits of church authority (see “Why I’m Not a Christian”). A concise Q&A with comedian Tom Green and a tattoo page weird things out. (DF)
