A miscellany of observations, this is the work of someone who is a close listener. Appropriately presented in small format cut’n’paste, the best pieces are at the very beginning and the very end. The first, “The Inorganic,” is about rubbish collection in Moira’s neighbourhood and waste management at large, and the last, “English as a Second Language,” is something overheard. Both teeter on the tip of banal but end up tipping the banal over. (Amy Lam)
