The Claremont Review is a magazine that brings together the literary work of students. In each issue, there reside a variety of poems and short stories produced by young writers. Underlying many of the pieces are the familiar themes of adolescence: resentment, acceptance, and the search for self. Wait, did I say adolescent themes? I meant human themes. This compilation is likely to appeal even if you can’t remember the last time you were grounded. Take a look, if only to see what a thirteen-year-old can do. (Alex Boger)
