No musician ever likes to hear this but the main reason I love this record is that the first song (and maybe others but right now I’m fixated on the first) reminds me so much of the one Stina Nordenstam record where she approaches listenable normality. Ida Nilsen happens to live in the same vocal range as SN and her band of merry musicians play the same artful, restrained folk pop that makes both ladies so beguiling. Now I have something else to soothe me early in the morning or late at night. Or at midday. I need a lot of soothing these days. (Terence Dick)
