Two more reasons (nine if you count all the bands on the Dinner Plate comp) to consider Guelph the indie rock capital of Canada. When is the New York Times going to cover this hot bed of creativity? Ahh, the music is probably a bit too DIY. Anyway, Guelph isn’t the next Montreal, it’s the next Olympia! The sound of summer love rock makes me pine for my youth. Burnt Oak’s sewn together, silk screened packages, xeroxed inserts and quiet, high voiced basement rock (the spawn of the Wooden Stars) represent the epitome of indie to me. (Terence Dick)
