This is an essay on how gender stereotyped language leads to the empowerment of the male sex over the female. It’s academic in style and prescriptive rather then descriptive – studies are referred to but never described and so on. An interesting look at the subject, but it’s more of an angry monologue than a carefully thought out argument. (HN)
