This tiny little journal-zine has a way with details; it shows more than it tells. It’s lyrical, understated, articulate, and perceptive. Also a bit self-indulgent, but so what? It covers five months in the life of a young guy without much dough. He travels, he riots, he sleeps on rooftops and thinks about ex-girlfriends, he wants a shower and a pair of dry socks. He writes it all down in moody little vignettes. You read it, you trade in your shopworn subjectivity for someone else’s for fifteen minutes, and everybody’s happy. (Wendy Banks)
