Here’s the big question in this zine: “Is the Ottawa punk scene dead?” Now I know I shouldn’t think this but was the Ottawa punk scene ever alive? Sorry, I know that’s a cheap shot, and maybe I’m showing my age when I say this, but in my opinion the Canadian punk scene basically died when they tore down Larry’s Hideaway in Toronto. I know I’m being a son of a bitch – but that’s the way I see it. Regarding the rest of Chris’ zine, it’s actually kind of charming. I mean, we’re basically invited into his life through some fairly well written snippets and prose poems. If you can forgive my initial outburst_and you’re into Canadian anarchist punk zines_then you might wanna give this a looksee. (DP)
