While a bit pollyannish at times, this newspaper of the Communist Party of Canada does provide good coverage of events across Canada. In many ways, it is less dogmatic than The National Post in its approach to news. Occasional partisan pieces are clearly identified as the official views of the Party or constituent groups. Until we have a left wing daily, this is probably the best source of labour-oriented progressive news in Canada. It could use some cultural writers, however. (BB)
