Waste of Time is their best. It started as a newsletter about spoken-word poetry events, if I understand correctly, and evolved into a calendar/rant/journalism hodgepodge that is always witty and informative. Recent features include a slightly politically-earnest set of quotations, an insightful discussion of lo-fi culture (zines included) and the current appropriation by advertising forces, several cutting-edge collages and, best, best, best of all, “An Incomplete Guide to Montreal Sites for Sore Eyes.” This last is a rockin’ psychogeographic walking tour through Mtl urban blight. I want Vince and Victoria to be my tour guides. Or maybe my parents. This zine is available free all over Montreal and should be stuffed in every available pocket.
