In the T. Anders Carson world, wounds are tender, Americans are bleached down to nothing and Sweden is a cloud of poetic women. But his new chapbook of poems, Salt Pork and Sunsets, published by Matthew Firth’s Black Bile Press, isn’t just a work of nicely worded aberrant generalizations. Carson has travelled toward the images he needs to tour-guide us past what we can’t see ourselves. Worth the trip. (HN)
