Underneath the only positive article in the whole ‘zine — a review of the Toronto basement beer joint Bistro 422 — the editors write: “The opinions expressed in the preceding article are not necessarily those of the editors of SLAM. The editors think that that place sucks! And it must be SLAMMED!” Other things that must be slammed include the Toronto media which are quite accurately lambasted on an individual basis, REM (stands for: Really Empty Music, Raping Ears&Mind, Red E. Made and Ravenous Excrement Munchers) and people who let their dogs dump on the sidewalk. Hey, stop it. When I pick something up on the street, I don’t expect it to be funny.
