This magazine provides thorough coverage of issues and perspectives from the left; not the NDP or the National Labour Congress, but a mixture of freelance socialist, marxist and feminist writing. The focus of the issue we saw was neo-liberalism and how the new financial structure of the world works – that is works against almost everyone. Another interesting piece looked at punk, its roots and evolution in political terms. The interview with Joe Flexer who ran as an Independant Labour candidate in the last Ontario election, was haunting only because by the time I read it, Harris and the Tories had already dismantled almost every initiative the NDP enacted ( it took them about 6 months).
