Stylus is whatcha call a mean taint a zine, taint a magazine, it s got an outside funding source, some cash, advertising, etc. etc. They re kinda unfair competition for zines but no serious threat to, say, Spin. Tons o reviews, interviews with bands like By Divine Right, cub, The Mutton Birds, The Odds, etc. More concentration on Winnipeg bands would make it seem less generic, though there are a few things Winnipego here. The writing is college-band college- bland. One thing that screws up the slickness in this issue is that several pages are included more than once, so you have page 3, 4, 5, 4, 5, 6 and so on. This feature should be maintained.
