Since its first issue, Superkeen has doubled in price, nearly doubled in size, and has taken to an even more cut-n-paste style, which is the main improvement. Pam (or “Pammy”?!?) has a tendency to review concerts by saying that words just cannot describe how cool the band was. She also gushes over Spike Jonze (video director and Dirt boy) (or, as Pam says, “The one, the funky one!”) Enthusiasm is Pam’s strength but I’d be more enthusiastic about stories of her own life than I am about this starstruck 24-7 persona. It’s a Plaster Caster exercise in prose, if you know what I mean — and if you don’t, trust me, you’re better off.
