There is slouch rock and there is power pop with good posture. This falls into the second camp. The martial drums certainly keep things moving and the declamatory vocals make me sit up in my chair. The keyboards add a bit of soul but it’s white boy soul so it’s still kinda uptight. Just like me. (Terence Dick)
