This radical cheerleader is studying to become versed in politics and action. Her feminist zine covers a wide range of topics from the beauty myth (with the Dove campaign as her platform), insights on BUST magazine, local queer bashing reports, the arrest of Wendy Maxwell, and marching against Bush in Ottawa. There are also a few herbal concoction how-tos. Her interests are varied and compelling, and she has a flair for history. I especially like the pages on the pirate babes of ole. My only suggestion to increase the readability of this zine is to cut down on the upside down bits, and the fragmented strands of thought that are scattered through PT’s pages. The youthful detective in this writer is uncovering the critical eye with a vengeance. I love to bear witness to this transition, and I’m sure many would enjoy taking the journey with Paper Tiger.
