The way it works with this ‘zine is that each issue is devoted to a theme premise, for example the issue we saw, subtitled Memic Prophylactic, circled around memes ie. “memes are primordial ideas which arise from the murky mush of our brains to flourish or flounder through history.” So a lengthy discussion of the concept set the tone for this ‘zine, not written as an academic or journalist might, but as an interested learner might look something over, carefully and with reference to sources read, and not shoved down your throat “argument” or “truths”. Then there were other articles and/or perhaps some are columns or regular features; Molecular Models: Nicotine, Logic Defuzzified, Toward’s Fermat’s Last Theorem, Leach on Society etc… Some of these were, um, well scientific, as in equations, molecular models and such, but still remained for the most part intelligible to dunce caps and grade 10 math failures.
