Tonight you’ll have a filthy dream
This little book is exquisite. The cover alone justifies its existence. Corey Frost is a performance artist and this chapbook represents transcriptions of a number of his performances. The book is divided into two sections, basically, with a hilarious comic in the middle. The comic begins with a long debate on the merits of “&” vs. “and”. The opening section is a “digitally remastered” version of the Communist Manifesto. It’s abstract and vaguely interesting, but nothing compared to the final section which includes a story about airplanes and begins with a description of two brothers who love each other but hate gravity. The final piece is a postmodern deconstruction involving car crashes. It’s okay. I’m going to keep this book on my bookshelf forever, just so I can show my friends the cover and get them to read about the brothers who hated gravity. (KS)
