This is a very beautiful site which “presents a Forum for dialogue about contemporary art practice through on-line critical essays, news and views.” It consists mainly of extensive reviews of recent and ongoing exhibitions, mostly in the Toronto area. As you’d expect from an art site, the graphic elements are sizeable, but worth the download time. There are areas for notices of upcoming exhibitions and other events of interest to the art crowd. Most of the text is written in a no-excuses PoMo critical style which can be pretty thick going, but it’s the images that have the most to say. The Forum section is a subset of the overall Year Zero One site, which is a full-blown virtual gallery and directory of resources for artists. You can get to a lot of excellent material from here, if your modem is up to it.
