zine review:
Leaf Dark Moon
One extended meditation on “moon in tree,” this short free-verse poem dreamily drifts from night light under leaves to distracted conversations our speaker is half-listening to, to thoughts of missing slippers and how the little patterns and rhythms of household things go so easily forgotten. The jumps in topic sometimes jar a little in their unexpectedness, but it’s only ever so slightly. This is a gentle front-porch midnight meditation not looking to record any moment perfectly, so much as to simply immediately see what there is to be seen. (sarah pinder)
