There’s a new zine on the (online) block that’s all about beautiful trans bodies. Bald Woman is looking for poetry, short stories, essays, art and photo submissions from people who are trans, non-binary, genderfuid, agender, bigender or don’t know how they identify yet. The deadline for their inaugural issue is August 12, 2017.
Pøst, a new online bi-lingual poetry magazine, is seeking submissions for its first issue. Writers are invited to send unpublished French and English poems of all forms by August 31, 2017.
Call for Submissions: Sorry, a zine
It’s hard to accept that there are some apologies that will never come. A new zine, Sorry, is looking for submissions of prose, stories, letters, illustrations and other mediums that explore the concept of apologies from those who will not or cannot do so. The zine is “especially interested in uplifting the voices of marginalized groups” and the deadline for submissions is August 23, 2017.

Se’mana Thompson — creator of queer indigenous girl, a small distro and podcast for queer, disabled, black and indigenous people of colour — is looking to round up queer parents of colour for issue 2 of her zine. Se’mana is accepting writing and visual art submissions for the unthemed zine until September 3, 2017.
Call for Submissions: Bloodshot Books
Bloodshot books is accepting original unpublished horror novels and long novellas — between 30,000 to 120,000 words. The micro-press is open to subgenres of a variety of flavours, but in particular: coming-of-age horror, creature horror, sci-fi horror, supernatural horror, apocalyptic TEOTWAWKI scenarios and weird west/other historical horror. They are not looking for young adult novels, collections, poetry or work related to zombies, sparkly vampires, sexy werewolves, supernatural romances, erotica or “torture porn.” Submit your manuscript by August 31, 2017.

Cultural Magazine is looking for entries for their Jack Grapes Poetry Prize and Poetry Contest. Unpublished work submitted to the digital magazine will have the chance to win cash prizes of $250 for first place, $150 for second place, $100 for third place, and $50 for five finalists. The deadline for entries is August 31, 2017.
Call for Submissions: Rascal Journal
A new, unthemed journal is looking for submissions of poetry, micro-prose, photography, visual art and essays. Rascal Journal publishes on a rolling basis and is open to a broad range of topics, but is looking for ecological-related works in particular. It pays $20 per accepted poem and image and $0.02 per word for essays. All accepted submissions are considered for their annual prize of at least $100.

For the first time, Canada’s magazine of zine culture and the independent arts will be accepting zine submissions from all over the world in search of the finest underground publications in a variety of genres. Submit your political zines, perzines, art/comic zines, DIY/how-to zines and literary zines by August 15, 2017.
