The best thing I can say about this collection of work is that it truly does live up to its name. We get poems with titles like “Buttons,” “Spoon,” and “Enough Honey to Last.” The poems themselves all seem to have a slightly humorous bent. A good example of this can be seen in the following excerpt: “Throw spoons at people/ who have never had anything/ interesting happen to them./ Leave them on the doorsteps/ of the well-fed.” In other words poetry like this either appeals to you or it doesn’t.
