Trampoline Hall is an alternative lecture series featuring talks by people who are not experts on their chosen topic. This month’s Trampoline Hall features talks by Jordan Lewis on “The art of sneaking into movies,” Yuula Benivolski with a talk called “I told you guys I was hardcore” and Damian Rogers whose lecture is entitled “Fuck the now: We need the past and future.
As part of This is Not A Reading Series, Andrew Hood and Quill & Quire Review Editor Steven Beattie discuss the process and content of Hood’s new short story collection, The Cloaca. There will be live music by Gregory Pepper and His Problems.
Worn Fashion Journal is having their issue 14 launch and it’s beach themed! Starting with treats and teas, and finishing with a DJ mix of oldies for the evening.

Cabaret producer and performer Miss Bloody Mary Anne is heading back to her home town bringing along the cream of the crop of Montreal’s burlesque and circus scene. The Blood Ballet Cabaret’s very first show in Toronto will feature the most loved acts in the troop’s history, brought to you by award winning performers Lady Josephine, Sucre a la Creme, Fuhrious Nina and contortionist Petite Pandora. Expect guest performances by the beautiful St. Stella (local), and hosting by the infamous Sherwin Tjia.

The Anchor Archive is cataloguing all of its zines and making them available in its searchable online catalogue. With the help of amazing volunteers they’ve finished cataloguing over half of the collection. But they can always use more help, so if you’d like to spend some time checking out zines, meeting some nice folks, and eating delicious snacks come to a cataloguing party! They happen at the Anchor Archive every Thursday from 4-6 pm. New cataloguers will receive training. For more information e-mail Amanda at [email protected].
