Les Filles du Roi will go up against the reigning champions les Contrabanditas in this semi-private game on Tuesday, and Saturday will see double the action when The New Skids on the Block play the Suburban Brawl (6pm) and Les Sexpos go up against the Suffer-Jets (8pm).

Drawn & Quarterly Bookstore will be screening Jamie Ross’s new experimental documentary “Fallow La Friche”, which explores the return of forests to Eastern Ontario. He will also read from the monograph of the same name.

Audiences are invited to “quench their curiosity” by tasting samples of pasteurized human breast milk at The Lactation Station Breast Milk Bar, an interactive performance art piece conceived and presented by Jess Dobkin. Participants have the opportunity to sample small quantities of breast milk, donated by local lactating new mothers at this public tasting.
Come dance in support of Guitar for Girls, a Brazilian project that empowers girls through guitar lessons. This is a fundraiser to help the organization buy guitars and keep the project running on a regular basis.

The Anything Goes Slam allows competitors to have some fun on stage and break the rules: wear a costume, do a cover, add some beats to your poem, play an instrument, bring a prop onstage, eat muffins while performing haikus, do something wacky, unexpected, original! The only rule is the time-limit: 3 minutes 10 seconds max.
