Here’s a new one from the guy that used to do Kinky Monster Comics. Maybe you liked that one. Maybe you’ll like this one. I, however, didn’t get hooked on where this thing was going. The first strip features a mysterious aqua-lung clad character who gets harassed for being a freak as it goes to a restaurant so it slashes some random bike tires and tucks itself back in the house, peering out from behind the curtain. The second and more lengthy stripe opens with the saga of a band trying to get a start in rural Ontario in the 1950’s. But nothing really happens, the plot’s just too slow or boring or “Happy Days” to really leap off the page. So even with the totally accomplished artwork, I sorta didn’t care. (HC)
