Self-proclaimed “low lifestyle magazine” from Copenhagen, Deadbeat is a solid collection of entertainment stories, streaming Radio content, film, art, literature, etc. Great article on the five most racist Warner Bros. cartoons of all time. Almost more of a collective, with regular club nights, the aforementioned streaming radio and a higher-than-average level of intelligence informing all of the pieces. Other works of note include an interview with Supersuckers bassist Eddie Daly on the West Memphis Three. Daly discusses his role in assembling a benefit CD to raise funds and awareness for the three youths framed in Arkansas for the brutal murder of three eight-year-old boys. (The three teens were also the subject of the Paradise Lost and Revelations: Paradise Lost Revisited documentaries). Surprisingly lively for a bunch of deadbeats. (SA)
