Sweet Misery thumbs its nose at organized religion, but especially Christianity, with critical insight and humour. Katharyn makes her point with cut-up text over photocopied images, which add interest to her critiques. She also takes on are satanic cults, the Bible, teen advice columns, early-childhood education, children, TV and Marilyn Manson. Misery is, misery ain’t, but Katharyn plods along, sticking to the all-embracing motto: “It’s not us…It’s at home…The problem starts at home.”
