Wednesday, July 20, Ride for Jarvis, Ride for Toronto, meet at Allen Gardens at 6:30
The Toronto Cyclists Union presents Ride for Jarvis, Ride for Toronto. Meet at Allen Gardens off of Jarvis Street and ride from 6:30-8:30 in protest of Rob Ford’s hair-brained scheme to get rid of bike lanes. Family-friendly event!
Thursday, July 21, “meet us on the commons” Exhibition Opening, The Art Gallery of Mississauga, 6-9pm
Elizabeth Underhill curates “meet us on the commons”: works by the Department of Unusual Certainties, Sarah Febraro, Serena Lee in dialogue with Anna Okrasko, Derek Liddington, Nathalie Quagliotto, Sarah Sharkey Pearce and Mariangela Piccione, and Stacey Sproule at the Art Gallery of Mississauga (300 City Centre Drive). From July 21 – September 11. Free shuttle bus to the opening reception will depart from the Gladstone Hotel at 7pm.

Saturday, July 23, “The Apiarist” at the Winnipeg Fringe Theatre Festival, 140 Rupert Avenue, 7:30pm
Whole Hearted Productions presents “The Apiarist”, a 60 minute play framed within the world of beekeeping. Written by Mylee Nordin and Heidi Malazdrewich, it expores the inner workings another species, illuminating the simplicity of our own. $8, or $6 for students, seniors and beekeepers.
