Since 2017, Broken Pencil has celebrated zine excellence with an award like no other: The Broken Pencil Zine Awards.
We are happy to announce that submissions for the 2024 awards are now… OPEN!
Between now and the end of September 30th, 2024, enter your zines, comix, leaflets and self-published wonders into the mix. Each zine category (Perzine, Comics, Fanzine, Infozine, Litzine, Artzine and Political Zine) will be reviewed by our panel of guest judges, made up of some the most exciting zinesters, artists and authors in the field.
Winners of each category will take away a cash prize, including the winner of our Zine of the Year award. A ceremony to announce the winners will occur in Toronto and then written up in the following issue of the magazine.
