Wrestling Then and Now
Schticky wrestlers have gone mainstream, all the way to MTV, but Ginzburg and his compadres remember a time when wrestling was … well, not real … just better, I guess. This zine transcends mere nostalgia, though. There’s a piece proposing unionization of wrestlers (the thought of David Dubinsky in spandex is too much to handle) and a Heideggerian analysis of the “Andre the Giant Has a Posse” phenomenon. Otherwise, this is rarefied knowledge for the initiated few, which is what such publications are for. (MD)
